GOAL has been working in Ethiopia since 1984 implementing a range of multi-sectoral development, resiliency and humanitarian responses. GOAL Ethiopia is currently working with street children, pastoralists and rural small holders and responds to humanitarian crises in Ethiopia by working closely with local communities, local government and other key actors with a strong emphasis on resiliency, preparedness and longer term impacts. ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced Health Coordinator to join the organization. The Health Coordinator will develop and guide the implementation of GOAL’s health strategy, and coordinate, manage and give leadership to GOAL’s health programme personnel and supporting management. The Coordinator is also responsible to ensures that the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all HIV/AIDS programs/ projects are of high quality, in accordance with GOAL Ethiopia’s programme approaches, and address the underlying causes of vulnerability to poverty and marginalization. S/he is responsible for leading in the strategic planning and mainstreaming of GOAL Ethiopia’s HIV/AIDS programme.

Job Requirements
· Bachelor degree in public health, or equivalent combination of education and 6 up to 8 years’ experience in public health and rural development projects, out of which 2-3 years’ service in senior health programme management level.
Key qualities
Proficiency in verbal and written English; Concept paper /proposal development to a very high standard, operational planning, budget planning and management, monitoring and evaluation, report writing; Proficiency in standard office software packages; Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality, sensitivity to HIV/AIDS, transparent and participatory management; Demonstrated technical and managerial ability, sound judgment, ability to interact and work effectively with others at all levels.

Remuneration and Benefits: GOAL will pay a basic salary of Birr 26,945.00 – 33,380.00 and provides benefits like
- Pension - (11% from employer and 7% from employee).
- Transportation Allowance, 10% of monthly salary and additional 300 birr taxi fare.
- Medical Allowance, birr 6500/annum
