The Volunteer’s Role
The overall purpose of this placement is to strengthening the
communication systems of CARE, Haramaya University, and East Harrarghe Zonal
Sectors
-Developing quality communication materials such as
organizational web pages, briefs, publications, and reports
-Facilitate the strengthening of the networking and partnership
development of CARE East Harrarghe Office, Haramaya University, and Zonal
Sector Offices.
As a volunteer, you will:
-Assist in the establishment of an effective organizational
communication system
-Strengthen partner capacity in the development of quality
communication materials
-Facilitate organizational networking and partnership development
-Support partners in developing quality annual reports and
briefings
Essential Academic Qualifications:
·
MA degree preferred in
Communication/Communication for Development, international relations,
Journalism or related field
Essential Professional Background:
·
At least 3 years’ experience in
communications
·
Demonstrated work experience in
establishing organizational communication strategies, capacity building for
communication system strengthening

another 6 months
